Discovery III is the next evolution of inspection at the point of manufacture and builds upon its predecessor’s many successes, featuring improved accuracy, extended thermal performance, and a modern updated industrial design.
In place of air bearings Discovery III uses hardened machine tool re-circulating ball bearings running at just a fraction of their rated load. This contributes to long life and lower maintenance costs in some of the harshest shop environments imaginable. And with no need for air and a roll-around stand, Discovery III provides the ultimate in flexibility when it comes to shop floor layout.
With the addition of the CMM-V and ScanShark support, Discovery III is now a true multi-sensor shop floor CMM.
